7.7 Mile Box 47 Students 2 Teachers From High Tech High 

As a team of 47, we will be walking and driving to Bird Rock Coffee Roasters 5627 La Jolla Boulevard, San Diego, CA 92037 from High Tech High 2861 Womble Rd, San Diego, CA 92106, a total of 7.7 miles. 

Groups of 10, 18, 23 students will alternate helping carry the “7.7 Mile Box” it will resemble a relay. While 1/2 the group carries the 12’ by 4’ by 6” box, the other 1/2 will drive to the next stop and relieve the carriers. 

1st stop is Dusty Rhoads Park (Nimitz)
2nd stop is Seaforth Landing
3rd stop is Santa Clara Street parking lot
4th stop is at Law Street Beach 
and then the last stop is Bird Rock Coffee Roasters. 

All the while it will be photographed moving through San Diego 7.7 miles, carried by 47 people, in 3 hours. We will then hang the box at Bird Rock Coffee Roasters, returning the next day to adhere the images of the 7.7 mile journey to the box to complete the art work. WATER AND SUNSCREEN
